About Me
Board certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine, Dr. Wen-Chun Jimmy Lan joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group in September 2012 as a neonatologist. Currently, he also serves as a clinical instructor in the Division of Neonatal and Developmental Medicine at Stanford University.
Dr. Lan’s areas of interest include neonatal brain injury and mechanical ventilation. He has presented on these topics at national and regional conferences and published in peer-reviewed publications such as “Pediatric Research” and “Molecular Brain Research.” He also has a keen interest in newborn resuscitation and is a Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) simulation instructor at the Center for Advanced Pediatric and Perinatal Education (CAPE) at Stanford University. He has also been active in medical student and resident education, garnering several teaching awards as a resident and fellow.
Dr. Lan is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, Stanford Society of Physician Scholars, California Association of Neonatologists and Specialty Medical Group.
Dr. Lan earned a joint medical degree and master’s degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his internship, residency in pediatrics and fellowship in neonatal and developmental medicine at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.
In his free time, Dr. Lan enjoys cycling, hiking and spending time with his family.
