About Me
Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Michael Hazboun joined Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group in 2021.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Hazboun worked as an urgent care physician at Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego. At Rady’s, he worked on various quality improvement projects such as: preventative asthma management in the ED, ED simple cellulitis clinical care pathway and assessing the educational benefit of pre-resuscitation medication dosing computation in the ED. Dr. Hazboun has also taught various courses related to best practices in emergency medicine such as emergency medicine block didactics and pediatric emergency simulation at University of California San Diego (UCSD), and pediatric emergency medicine education for adult providers at Scripps Mercy Hospital.
As a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Dr. Hazboun has shared his expertise through various abstracts and poster presentations, and was published in Avoiding Common Error in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Hazboun earned his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine. He completed an internship in pediatrics at UCSD through Rady’s Children’s Hospital, where also did his residency and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine.
