Join Valley Children's trauma nurse liaison, Mary Jo Quintero, RN. for a training opportunity on Saturday, June 27 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
This educational activity highlights the critical role of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in sudden cardiac arrest response, emphasizing not only their lifesaving use in emergencies but also the importance of capturing and managing post-event cardiac data as part of a comprehensive Cardiac Emergency Response Plan.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Review concept and epidemiology of Sudden Cardiac Arrest vs. Sudden Cardiac Death events.
- Recognize the importance of the event history download from the AED for definitive care post cardiac incident.
- Discuss cardiac emergency response plans including event history data downloading as mission critical for public access, public safety AEDs, with focus on schools.
