How to Apply

To be considered for admission to our ACGME-accredited pediatric hospital medicine fellowship program, applicants must be in the process of completing training in (or completed) a 3-year ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency program. We encourage applications from members of underrepresented minority groups to apply.

International Medical Graduates

Below is information and requirements pertaining to International Medical Graduates (IMG):

You must be Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certified. ACGME requires IMGs who enter ACGME-accredited programs to be certified by ECFMG.
Your medical school must be recognized by the Medical Board of California.

Fall Match Timeline

Dates	Activity
June 4, 2026	ERAS registration for the 2027 ERAS season begins.
June 4, 2026	2027 ERAS season begins at 9 a.m. ET. Programs receive access to the PDWS for preseason setup.
July 1, 2026	Applicants may begin submitting applications to programs at 9 a.m. ET.
July 15, 2026	Programs begin receiving and may begin reviewing applications to programs at 9 a.m. ET.
August 11, 2026	PHM Fellowship Programs can begin offering interview offers to applicants.
November 18, 2026	Rank order list certification deadline.
December 2, 2026	Match Day

Valley Children’s Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program participates in the NRMP Pediatric Specialties Fall Match. Please visit www.nrmp.org for further information and to register for the match. For the 2024 fellowship application cycle, we will be participating in ERAS and the following documents will need to be uploaded to your ERAS account:

Curriculum vitae
Copy of Medical License(s)
Copy of DEA License
Personal statement that answers the personal statement prompts provided via ERAS.
Three letters of recommendation. If within 5 years of residency training, one of these letters must be from your residency program director.
